On Exhibit at TennesseeValley Art Association - through September

"Portrait of James" was inspired by a photograph I made at Sweetwater Mansion
during a Civil War re-enactment of one of the actors. James was resting on a
bale of hay between two gigantic magnolia trees on the Sweetwater grounds when
I snapped his photo.  I was going to give him this painting, but when it was completed
he had left for Hollywood.  I understand he is now an actor in movies.  Maybe
someday he will be famous and it will increase the value of this painting!

    The TVAA members' exhibition ends next week, September 19th. If you're in Tuscumbia, go by and by and check out the local talent before it's gone.
